This is the view last week from Devil’s Punchbowl, and across the way you’ll see Cape Foulweather, all fogged in. I think it’s gorgeous, no matter what the weather. We had relatives with us and went to the observation deck and the gift shop, where you’ll find the best view. Not the day we were there! You couldn’t even see the ocean, it was so socked in. Wait, look, waves? Look close in, we told them, OK, right there! Ah, ocean!
Then whoosh — a bald eagle flew by, close in, then… gone and off into the fog. Very cool surprise. Eventually the fog rolled back out, and there was the ocean.
Hope you’re enjoying your summer, with all of its surprises.

I hope everyone has a lovely summer. Read, read, read, play, play, play and maybe (with permission from an adult, and help if you need it) you could try making some cookies?

This video is cracking us up in technology class this week.
Mr. Rawley found that video for us, and says, “That’s the first personal computer I ever used. Wrote my first game on it in 1980 or so.”
We are not old.
Have a great Thursday and here’s to 10 more days of school…

It has been a great school year, but I know we’re all ready for summer. Especially these two in the picture, ha.
Have a really good rest of the week, kids.

And the poem of the day, just for you…
“I’m Glad the Sky is Painted Blue”

I’m glad the sky is painted blue,
And the earth is painted green,
With such a lot of nice fresh air
All sandwiched in between.”
